Unique Creation
Very cool build. I've worked with a variety of materials in model making; plastic, wood, sheet metal and paper. This is a nice change, working with metal mechanical parts and leather. My only complaint is that the manual images and text could be larger and easier on the eyes. Most of the work is just assembling nuts and bolts and other hardware onto screws and shafts, but it is rewarding in its own way. Aetherwings is truly a work of art. The blend of brass, other metals, wood and leather in a steampunk style is fantastic. It is beautiful and fun to just look at. The awesome ribbing on the leather wings is one example of the artistic detail on this model. The movements of the gears, struts and wings add to the visual impact. I had no missing parts in my kit, a little surprising given the many bags of tiny parts. Mecrob was very diligent in producing a quality kit. I needed a replacement wing because I accidentally damaged it and the customer service was very responsive, got a replacement at a reasonable price in a little over a week. This model stands very well on its own but I am looking forward to building the Aethercore and combining the two. Hats off to Mecrob . Totally worth the price. If you are looking for something different to build I highly recommend this kit.

You folks are the best. Was missing a part for the build. Contacted support and I was sent a replacement immediately!!!!! Had a magnet failure, one is on the way to me !!!!! These models are so Cool 😎!!!!! I will be purchasing more from this company !!!!!! Highly Recommended !!!!!👍👍👍👍

Awesome Machine!
I've been building models and miniatures for over 50 years and I have to say this was the most fun, most challenging, and most satisfying one I've made yet. The pieces are precision and the instructions have excellent diagrams making this a superb miniature piece of engineering. I love watching and listening to it operate. I'll be getting Aetherwings to ad to it soon.

Great quality and creativity
I just bought the robot lamp for my husband's birthday because he received a different Mecrob model for Christmas and loved it. The kits are really well made, with so many unique components. The build experience and the final product are exceptional. I know we'll be back for more models in the future.

Excellent kit
Absolutely love this little guy. Very fiddly to put together but patience is a virtue that shall be rewarded.
It would be useful to get some tweezers and "third hand" to hold things together for some of the steps. My wingman got me through this!
Took me about 9 hours all together including redoing some steps after I realised I'd made mistakes.
Well worth the effort though, he looks great!
